It was great to host our first ever JMAT KS2 Netball festival at Wath Academy Netball Courts. With the fantastic support from Miss Greenfield, Mrs Cunningham and the Netball Scholars we organised numerous activities for the children to try with Netball. Kiveton Park Meadows invited CreActive Urban Activities into school on Tuesday 14th October to deliver a Beatboxing and Breakdancing workshop to their classes. It was fantastic day and the children thoroughly enjoyed the activities delivered by Jack. On Friday 10th October over 600 children took part in the Rotherham Cross Country finals at Herringthorpe Stadium. Five of our JMAT schools took children along to this fantastic event organised by Rotherham Harriers AC and the Rotherham School Games Organisers. Eight of our Year 3/4 pupils took part in a football tournament hosted by Waverley Primary Academy. The boys played five group-stage matches, winning four and drawing one, which saw them finish top of their group. They cruised through the semi-final with a confident 1–0 win, creating plenty of scoring opportunities. In the final, Alfie made a superb penalty save early on to keep the team in the game.
