JMAT KS1 Football Festival-13/10/26
It was great to organise our JMAT KS1 Football Festival at Wath Academy Astroturf on Tuesday 13th October afterschool. JMAT Y5/6 Hillcrest Football Cup-08/10/26
On Thursday 8th October for the second year we hosted our JMAT Y5/6 Hillcrest Football Cup at Anston Hillcrest Primary School. We had three schools taking part in Anston Hillcrest Primary School, Kiveton Park Meadows and Bramley Sunnyside Juniors. We played the tournament as Round Robin with all children playing each other twice. JMAT KS2 Cross Country Competition “Ray Matthew’s Shield”-07/10/26
On Wednesday 7th October we hosted our popular JMAT KS2 Cross Country competition for the Ray Matthew’s Shield at Wath Academy playing fields. Ray Matthew’s is known for his fundraising work in Rotherham for School Sport and also at the age if 75 years of age he completed 75 marathons in 75 days. Over 1700 Children have taken Part in our JMAT Inter School Sports Events for 2025/2026
This year has been a successful year for our JMAT Schools. In total we have organised 14 inter school events between our schools and had 1707 at these events which is amazing. In total 15 of our schools have attended our JMAT only events. This means that two more schools have took part in our events this year and over 400 more children. Alongside our JMAT school events our schools have continued to access External Inter School events such as School Games, Local Cluster Events

JMAT Wales Cluster Mini Olympics Festival-17/06/26
On Wednesday 17th June we hosted our first ever JMAT KS1 & KS2 Mini Olympics Festival at Wales High School. In total we had 5 of our schools involved and 272 children which is fantastic. The children took part in numerous activities which was led by the Wales High School students. JMAT KS1 & KS2 Girls Shooting Stars Football Festival-15/06/26
On Monday 15th June we hosted our JMAT KS1 and KS2 Girls Shooting Stars Football Festival at Wath Academy Astroturf. This event was done in partnership with Mr Flowers at Wath Academy and organised with the Girls Football Scholars. In total we had 5 schools and nearly 100 girls taking part in football activities. Staff Active Playgrounds training at Wath Central-03/06/26
On Wednesday 6th June Mr Bennett worked with Miss Webster and staff at Wath Central on developing their Active Playgrounds. On Tuesday 2nd June we hosted our JMAT Y5/6 Boys Football league at Wath Academy Astroturf. JMAT Dance ECT PE CPD-18/06/26
We hosted our second ECT training of the year at Meadow View Primary on Monday 18th May. The training went really well with all members of staff fully engaged in the whole training and some great collaboration between staff. JMAT Staff Parkour CPD-28/04/26
On Tuesday 28th we hosted some Parkour CPD afterschool at Brampton Ellis Primary. This Parkour CPD was excellently delivered by Matt Schofield from Nova City in Rotherham. JMAT Gymnastics ECT PE CPD-20/04/26
On Monday 20th April Mr Bennett worked with 12 of our Early Careers Teachers (ECT’S) at Bramley Sunnyside Juniors to deliver some Gymnastics CPD. Girls South Yorkshire Football School Games finalists for Bramley Sunnyside Juniors-26/01/26
Bramley Sunnyside Girls UKS2 Footballers represented Rotherham at the County Finals at Honeywell in Barnsley. The girls plays 5 games - won 3 and drew 2 meaning we topped the table with 13 out of a possible 15 points. JMAT PE Leads attend the Rotherham PE Conference at New York Stadium
On Thursday 15th January it was the Rotherham PE Conference at New York Stadium in partnership with Yorkshire Sport Foundation. Mr Bennett attended this event along with PE Leads from our JMAT Schools.
