JMAT Wales Cluster Mini Olympics Festival-17/06/26
On Wednesday 17th June we hosted our first ever JMAT KS1 & KS2 Mini Olympics Festival at Wales High School. In total we had 5 of our schools involved and 272 children which is fantastic. The children took part in numerous activities which was led by the Wales High School students. JMAT KS1 & KS2 Girls Shooting Stars Football Festival-15/06/26
On Monday 15th June we hosted our JMAT KS1 and KS2 Girls Shooting Stars Football Festival. This event was done in partnership with Mr Flowers at Wath Academy and organised with the Girls Football Scholars. In total we had 5 schools and nearly 100 girls taking part in football activities. Staff Active Playgrounds training at Wath Central-03/06/26
On Wednesday 6th June Mr Bennett worked with Miss Webster and staff at Wath Central on developing their Active Playgrounds. Miss Webster is looking at ways to develop their 60 minutes Physical Activity offer for the children and has changed their Break and Lunchtime activities. JMAT Y5/6 Boys Football League-02/06/26
On Tuesday 2nd June we hosted our JMAT Y5/6 Boys Football league at Wath Academy Astroturf. Unfortunately our first round of fixtures was cancelled due to the weather so this event was organised as a tournament rather than a league. The tournament went really well and enjoyed by all. JMAT Dance ECT PE CPD-18/06/26
We hosted our second ECT training of the year at Meadow View Primary on Monday 18th May. The training went really well with all members of staff fully engaged in the whole training and some great collaboration between staff. JMAT Staff Parkour CPD-28/04/26
On Tuesday 28th we hosted some Parkour CPD afterschool at Brampton Ellis Primary. This Parkour CPD was excellently delivered by Matt Schofield from Nova City in Rotherham. As schools we all know how popular Parkour is becoming for our children and Matt was able to show staff how easy it is to use your indoor and outdoor equipment to break down the skills for everyone. JMAT Gymnastics ECT PE CPD-20/04/26
On Monday 20th April Mr Bennett worked with 12 of our Early Careers Teachers (ECTβS) at Bramley Sunnyside Juniors to deliver some Gymnastics CPD. The session looked at understanding how Gymnastics aligns with the National Curriculum and developing teachers confidence with teaching Gymnastics. JMAT Y5/6 Girls Football League-24/03/26 & 21/04/26
We had a successful JMAT Girls football league over two nights with 7 schools in total taking part. We all agreed that the standard of the Girls Football league has increased every year since it started 5 years ago.
