On Tuesday 4th November Mr Bennett & Mrs Smith was lucky enough to announce the opening of the MUGA (Multi-use Games Area) at Hooton Pagnell All Saints Primary. The School has fundraised with the support of parents and the local community to make this dream a reality. The MUGA will have a massive impact on PE lessons and increased Physical Activity for the Children with Active Breaktimes/Lunchtimes & Afterschool Clubs. After the success of the Y5/6 Hillcrest Football Cup we decided to organise a Y3/4 Hillcrest Football cup at our schools. This event took place at Anston Hillcrest Primary on Wednesday 22nd October and involved Anston Hillcrest (two teams), Harthill Primary and Kiveton Park Meadows Junior School. It was great to host our first ever JMAT KS2 Netball festival at Wath Academy Netball Courts. With the fantastic support from Miss Greenfield, Mrs Cunningham and the Netball Scholars we organised numerous activities for the children to try with Netball. On Friday 10th October over 600 children took part in the Rotherham Cross Country finals at Herringthorpe Stadium. Five of our JMAT schools took children along to this fantastic event organised by Rotherham Harriers AC and the Rotherham School Games Organisers.
