On Monday 15th June we hosted our JMAT KS1 and KS2 Girls Shooting Stars Football Festival. This event was done in partnership with Mr Flowers at Wath Academy and organised with the Girls Football Scholars. In total we had 5 schools and nearly 100 girls taking part in football activities. Bramley Sunnyside Girls UKS2 Footballers represented Rotherham at the County Finals at Honeywell in Barnsley. The girls plays 5 games - won 3 and drew 2 meaning we topped the table with 13 out of a possible 15 points. So the Final contested by Bramley Sunnyside and Burton Road, with a 1-1 stalemate, before extra-time with no further score then to the penalty shoot-out, where Burton Road triumphed 3-2 to now go to the Northern Area Finals. On Friday 17 th October, 23 Rotherham schools competed in the Premier League Primary Stars Girls Regional Finals at Dinnington Resource Centre, in a bid to claim their place in the regional finals.
