James Montgomery Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a reliable, flexible and skilled Site Supervisor to work across two of our primary school sites – Hooton Pagnell All Saints C of E Primary School and Wath Victoria Primary School.
This is a key role in helping ensure our schools provide a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. We are looking for a proactive and committed individual with a strong sense of pride in their work and a willingness to be part of two friendly and supportive school communities.
You will work under the guidance of the Headteachers and Chief Operations Officer to ensure both sites are secure, clean, safe and fully operational each day. The successful candidate will need to be organised, approachable and capable of working independently and across two locations, sometimes responding quickly to arising needs.
Key responsibilities include:
· Daily site security, including unlocking/locking up and carrying out safety checks
· Routine maintenance, repairs and caretaking duties
· Monitoring cleaning standards and liaising with contractors
· Ensuring health and safety compliance across both sites
· Supporting the smooth running of the schools by being a visible and helpful presence
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience of working in a similar role or with relevant practical skills
· Understands the importance of health and safety in a school setting
· Can work flexibly across two school sites (travel between sites is required)
· Is dependable, trustworthy and able to use their initiative
· Will contribute positively to the life of both school communities
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Trust and play a vital role in helping our schools thrive. Visits to either site are warmly welcomed.
Safeguarding:
James Montgomery Academy Trust and its schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are subject to appropriate vetting checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
As an organisation using the DBS to assess applicants’ suitability for positions included in the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order, we comply fully with the DBS Code of Practice. We are committed to the fair treatment of all applicants and staff, regardless of background. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us – this will depend on the nature of the role and the details of any offences.
If shortlisted, you will be asked to complete a Criminal Records Declaration Form. Any relevant disclosures will be discussed openly and fairly prior to any offer of employment. Failure to disclose relevant information may result in the withdrawal of an offer or dismissal.
